The Duo Siqueira Lima is one of the most prestigious chamber ensembles, winner of the Profissionais da Música Award (Brazil, 2015) and the International Press Award (USA, 2014).
The duo consists of Cecilia Siqueira from Uruguay and Fernando de Lima from Brazil, known for their virtuosity and original arrangements for two guitars. Since 2003, they have performed worldwide, including in European capitals, North America, Africa, and Russia. They have performed in prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center in New York, New World Center in Miami, and Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

Karlo Markione, one of the most prominent classical guitarists of the last few decades, has won seven first prizes at international competitions.
Throughout his career, he has performed as a soloist, with orchestras, and in chamber ensembles. In 2017 and 2023, he was awarded the prestigious "Chitarra d'Oro" recognition for pedagogy and lifetime achievement. He currently teaches at conservatories in Maastricht, Lille, Rome, Mallorca, and Krakow, and, together with his wife, runs the Marchione Online Academy, where he teaches students from all over the world. He is also active as a publisher, releasing new guitar transcriptions through his publishing house, MarchioneMusic Editions.

BURA is the Serbian word for a strong, stormy wind, symbolizing primal energy, which this music embodies through its unrestrained and unconventional nature.
The project is a fusion of top-tier performances and innovative stylizations by exceptional artists: Rafael Rogoinski, Svetlana Spajić, Marina Džukljev, and Tijana Stanković. Their work combines reconstructions of traditional Serbian music with original compositions, renewing traditional motifs for contemporary music while paying tribute to the cultural narratives of Central and Eastern Europe. United by their love for Balkan melodies, rhythms, and folklore, they create a unique sound full of improvisation and respect for the richness of folk traditions. Their collaboration breathes new life into both traditional and modern compositions.

A concert that pushes the boundaries between tradition and contemporary genres! Tambura virtuoso Branko Bako Jovanović, known for his unique blend of the Pannonian plain and jazz improvisations, will perform with his ensemble on May 16th at the Guitar Art Festival in Belgrade.
His performance brings an innovative fusion of music, featuring the tambura and trumpet — for the first time together on the same stage, merging the tenderness of the tambura with the raw power of the trumpet. Jovanović redefines the tambura as an instrument, paying tribute to the rich tradition of the Balkans while building a unique artistic identity through various genres and unconventional melodies. Every note is a blend of virtuosity, emotion, and avant-garde, leaving the audience breathless.

Timotej Kosovinc, a Slovenian composer and guitarist based in Vienna, stands out in concert music and composes for various instruments.
He studied guitar with Álvaro Pierrii and composition with Detlev Miller-Siemens at the University of Music in Vienna, where he was awarded prestigious honors for his academic achievements. As a laureate of numerous international competitions, he has performed in renowned concert halls such as the Vienna Musikverein and the Ljubljana Slovenian Philharmonic, as well as at festivals like Wien Modern and the Festival de la Guitarra de Sevilla. His music is performed worldwide, and he actively collaborates with other artists, particularly in a duo with cellist Kristina Basili. In 2022, he released his debut CD. The Good Moment, where he performs his original guitar compositions.
The Guitar Orchestra was founded in 1963 by the renowned educator Ljudmil Rus, as part of the Franc Šturm Music School in Ljubljana. Since 2008, the orchestra has continued its work as a cultural and artistic society bearing the name of its founder, maintaining an uninterrupted 60 years of performance and appearances. Throughout its history, it has collaborated with over 100 guitarists, many of whom have become professionals. Ljudmil Rus left behind a significant body of arrangements and original compositions, combining virtuosity and humor in his works. The orchestra continues to revive his spirit through concerts across Slovenia and beyond.

The Polish guitarist Marcin Dilja is regarded as one of the most gifted classical guitarists in the world, a fact confirmed by the recognition. The Washington Posta.
His career is marked by winning 19 first prizes at prestigious international competitions, including the gold medal at the Guitar Foundation of America in 2007. He has performed in renowned concert halls such as Carnegie Hall and Concertgebouw, as well as on international tours around the world. As a soloist, he has played with leading orchestras, and his premiere Toccate at Joaquín Rodrigo in Madrid stands out as particularly notable. Dilja currently teaches guitar at the Music Academy in Katowice and the University of Münster.

Ana-Maria Bibescu is a renowned classical guitarist and professor from Bucharest, where she teaches at Art School No. 5.
She completed her master's degree in music with the highest honors at the National University of Music in Bucharest and is currently pursuing doctoral studies. She has won over 50 awards at national and international competitions and has performed in prestigious concert venues and on tours in France. She is also active as a jury member at guitar festivals such as Harmonia Cordis and the Athens Guitar Festival.
Mircea-Constantin Oaneș is a classical guitarist and educator, a member of the Sonrisa Trio, and the organizer of the Sinaia International Guitar Festival and the Eduard Pamfil International Competition.
He graduated from the Tudor Ciortea Music High School and the National University of Music in Bucharest, where he is currently pursuing doctoral studies. He has performed on prestigious stages such as the Romanian Athenaeum, the Palace of the Parliament, and the National Museum of Art in Bucharest. He is also active in jazz music as a member of the Simply Jazz band and in a flute and guitar duo with Mihaela Manciu, while also contributing to music education as a lecturer and jury member.
Raisa Mihai is a classical guitarist and professor. She teaches at the National Music College "George Enescu" and the Art School No. 4 in Bucharest.
She completed her master's degree at the National University of Music in Bucharest with the highest honors and has won numerous awards at prestigious classical guitar festivals. She has performed on significant stages across Europe, including Steinway Hall in London and the Royal Philharmonic in Stockholm. Her performance with the ARTissimo Duo was named "Video of the Week" by Classical Guitar Magazine.

They represent individual and group lessons and will take place at the premises of the High School Dositej, ss part of the daily activities in the morning and afternoon, held simultaneously in multiple spaces, for all active and passive participants, as well as Festival guests.

Costas Cotsiolis
Kostas Kociolis, one of the most prominent guitarists of today, started his career at the age of 15, performing with the State Orchestra of Athens.
He is a professor at the Athens Conservatory and ACCM, as well as the founder of the Athens International Guitar Festival. He has performed worldwide with renowned artists and orchestras, and composers like Leo Brouwer have dedicated works to him. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Echo Classic Award.
Jozsef Eotvos
József Etvös, a guitarist and professor at the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, is known for his arrangements such as Bach's "Goldberg Variations," which critics have hailed as the arrangement of the century.
In 2002, he established the university-level guitar faculty in Hungary. He is a recipient of the Artisjus Award for the promotion of Hungarian music, as well as the Ferenc Liszt Award for Lifetime Achievement. He is also the author of the book "How to Play Bach," published in English in 2014.
Vera Ogrizović
Vera Ogrizović is a renowned guitarist and professor, educated in Belgrade and Paris, where she graduated from the École Normale de Musique.
She has performed at major festivals across Europe and collaborated with prominent musicians and orchestras. As a professor at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade since 1989, she has mentored many young performers and led guitar classes in Skopje and Cetinje. She is the author of books and collections of compositions, and for her pedagogical work, she received the Great Silver Plaque from the University of Arts in Belgrade.
Srđan Tošić
Srđan Tošić is a prominent Serbian guitarist with extensive concert experience since 1985, performing as a soloist, in chamber ensembles, and with orchestras.
His repertoire spans music from the Renaissance to the 20th century, and he has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Andrés Segovia Award. He actively participates in festivals, conducts masterclasses, and shapes generations of young artists at the Faculty of Music and the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade.
Aleksandar Hadži-Đorđević
Aleksandar Hadži-Đorđević, a prominent guitarist, performed with the Zagreb Symphony Orchestra at the age of 16, and won first prize at the "Kutna Hora" competition in 1984.
He completed his guitar studies with the highest honors at the Music Academy in Prague, and his students are now top concert guitarists and professors worldwide. He is the recipient of the City of Belgrade Award for Pedagogical Work and currently teaches guitar at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. As a soloist and in a duet with Prof. Srđan Tošić, he has performed in many countries across Europe and America.
Belma Tuzović Mujkić
Belma Tuzović-Mujkić, a guitarist from Sarajevo, completed her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna as a scholarship recipient of the Austrian government.
Since 2000, she has been working as a guitar professor at the Secondary Music School in Sarajevo. She regularly participates as a jury member at national and international competitions, conducts masterclasses, and her students have won numerous prestigious awards. In recent years, she has been actively performing with flutist Ana Pokrklić in various chamber ensembles.

The Guitar Art Competition has gained a reputation as one of the most renowned and challenging international competitions for classical guitarists. The competition brings together students from all over the world, who compete in 6 age categories, in two stages.

Guitar Art Expo – Nikola Ćurčin: Living the Art and Music of the Guitar
Nikola Ćurčin (Kotor, 1971), an artist with broad interests, is engaged in comics, illustration, painting, animation, and music. He has held around fifteen solo exhibitions and numerous group and charitable performances.
His work is characterized by clear lines and graphic mastery, and he has exhibited in unconventional places such as the Forte Mare fortress and pubs, often combining exhibition openings with musical performances and interactive events. As the founder of the Herceg Novi Comics Festival, Ćurčin has gained a reputation as one of the most prominent authors in Montenegro and beyond. For him, the essence of art is a constant search and curiosity, with drawings and paintings being merely incidental stories in that process.
